Let me take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Leslie Martin Smith, the creator of Mud Mama Designs Pottery. I have been creating functional works of art for over 30 years. I have a BFA from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Upon graduation I worked for two local companies, Urban Earth and Cementry making concrete sinks from clay molds. I worked with concrete for many years. In 2013 I began playing with clay again and I am so grateful to now be able teach classes and work with clay full time.
I am a Mama, Wife, Artist, Homeschooler, not so good gardener, nature lover, and animal advocate to name a few!

For some reason I tend to not get messages sent through web page. There are a few things I want you to know now. All of my pottery is absolutely one of a kind and is food and dishwasher safe:)
For all orders, a deposit is due before I begin making and any orders that have engraving are to be paid in full before the piece is started. On average my work window is 10-12 weeks. Each piece that you see on this page has already found a home, but I am happy to make something just for you.
