Let me take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Leslie Martin Smith, the creator of Mud Mama Designs Pottery. I have been creating functional works of art for over 25 years. I have a degree in fine arts from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Upon graduation I worked for a small local company, Urban Earth, making concrete sinks from clay molds. I worked with concrete for many years. In 2013, I began playing with clay again and I am so grateful to now be able teach classes and work with clay full time.
I am a Mama, Wife , Artist, Homeschooler, not so good gardener, nature lover, animal advocate and I'm just getting started!

For some reason I tend to not get messages sent through web page. There are a few things I want you to know now. All of my pottery is absolutely one of a kind and is food and dishwasher safe:)
For all orders, a deposit is due before I begin your pottery and any orders that have engraving are to be paid in full before the piece is started. If you live out of state and need your pottery shipped I am happy to do so. I only ship UPS, doing all I can to keep your cost as friendly as possible. On average my work window is 10-12 weeks. Each piece that you see on this page has already found a home, but I am happy to make something just for you.
